Long Time No Type

Hello everyone - many apologies for not keeping up with this blog. A friend of mine and her husband just started a blog and it reminded me that I haven't kept up with ours. I am at work right now but I promise to enter a post later today or tomorrow catching everyone up. Hope everyone is doing well!

Our First Pumpkin Carving 2008

Well last night Matt and I started one of which we hope will be many traditions as a married couple...we carved our first pumpkin!!! It was fun, I will attach a few pictures to this post so you can see what the finished product ended up looing like. We decided to call him Smiley. While we were carving this pumpkin, we thought it might be fun to watch this movie on the Sci-Fi network called "The Pumpkin Carver". Of course this was supposed to be a horror movie but the acting in it was definitely the worse that Matt and I had ever seen. You know the whole running up the stairs when someone is at your front door because apparently that is the smartest thing you can do right??? Anyway, hope you guys enjoy the pics. It is so great having someone to have these traditions with and it will be even more fun when our children can participate in the future. :)

And The Future Begins...

Alrighty, so I decided to give this blogging stuff a try. Seems all my friends and family have these blogs to keep up with each other and I thought it was kind of a neat idea.
If you are reading this blog then you probably already know that Matt and I got married April 19. 2008. The Lord sent me the perfect man. He is the ying to my yang. We balance each other very well emotionally. I am sure that he will not spend much time on this blog so that is why most of this will be from a women's perspective. :)
After we got married we lived in my house in Athens for a little while. My house was great for just me, but with it only being 750 sqft we needed something a little bigger for two. So we sold the house in Athens and are now living in an apartment in Huntsville while we are on a house hunt. Wish us luck with that! :)
Currently I work for a governement contractor and my gorgeous honey is a fitness specialist and personal trainer...life is good!
Other news in our life is that my brother and sister-in-law are expecting their first baby in April. I will be an Aunt and I am so excited. This baby will also be the first grandbaby on the Hooie side and my parents are excited. We pray daily that the Lord will bless Katie's pregnancy and will bless Trevor's patience...:) HEHEHEHE J/K. :)
I will go for now...Matt doesn't know that I started this blog yet...wait till he gets home and sees this. :)
